Charlie Watkins
President and CEO
Charlie Watkins serves as President and CEO of Landmark Media Enterprises (LME) and Dominion Enterprises (DE) and is responsible for company-wide strategy and performance. He reports to Frank Batten Jr., Chairman. Charlie previously served as CEO of Expedient, an LME-owned cloud computing business, and as LME’s Vice President of Corporate Development and New Ventures. He co-founded Expedient in late 2000, leading an acquisition effort from 2003-2007 and then oversaw its growth prior to his current role. Prior to joining Landmark in 2000, Watkins served as President of a wholly-owned subsidiary of Duke Energy in Charlotte, N.C. He has over 35 years of experience in executive leadership, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, start-ups, operations, marketing, and general management. Prior to entering business, Watkins served as a nuclear-trained U.S. naval officer. Watkins holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master’s of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.
Jeffrey T. Littlejohn
President, Dominion Business Solutions/DX1
Jeff Littlejohn joined Dominion in 1998 as general manager of the St. Louis Employment Guide, where he was responsible for leading the launch and successful development of that operation. After launching six additional Employment Guide operations, he became the division’s second district manager in 1999. In 2000, Littlejohn was promoted to regional manager, and in 2002 he became regional vice president. In 2005, Littlejohn relocated to Norfolk as vice president and general manager of Employment Media Group and held this position until 2009.
Littlejohn earned a reputation for operational excellence, innovative growth strategies, sound financial discipline, and superior staff development. In February 2009, Littlejohn was promoted to president of Dominion Business Solutions where he has initiated and implemented multiple technology-oriented acquisitions and start-ups. His current responsibilities include Dominion Powersports Solutions and DX1.
Littlejohn has served on the United Way of South Hampton Road’s educational program funding committee and is involved in Rotary International’s local Reading is Fundamental program for elementary school children.
Littlejohn holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the E.J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University.
Dan Sykes
President, Dominion Dealer Solutions
Prior to joining Dominion Dealer Solutions, he was the Executive Vice President at LCNI. Dan’s 30-plus year career at LME/DE has included positions at The Virginian-Pilot, Trader Publishing, Landmark Education Services, and LCNI. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton and received his MBA from Harvard Business School. He also served as an officer in the U.S. Army.
Susan Blake
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Susan Blake joined Dominion in 2000 as an employee relations attorney. In 2006, she became the director of employee relations/attorney responsible for all employment law-related issues company-wide. In 2012, Blake was promoted to vice president of human resources for Dominion Enterprises and its parent, Landmark Media Enterprises LLC.
She has excelled through her strong intellect and broad understanding of human resources and employee relations. Prior to joining Dominion Enterprises, Blake worked for Jackson & Kelly in Charleston, WV and Littler Mendelson in Washington, DC.
Blake previously was chairman of the human resources committee for the local chapter of the American Red Cross of Southeastern Virginia and currently serves on the Campaign Cabinet of the United Way of South Hampton Roads. She is also very involved in Rotary International’s local Reading is Fundamental campaign, reading and delivering new books to local elementary school children in need.
Blake received a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor degree from the College of William & Mary.
Debra Bunn
Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer
Debra Bunn is senior vice president and chief accounting officer for Dominion Enterprises. In her role, she works with the business financial leaders to ensure both Landmark’s and Dominion’s financial statements are not only useful, timely and accurate but are also supported by a strong internal control infrastructure. Bunn’s responsibilities also include oversight of the annual strategic planning process, all external audits, and management of the corporate accounting staff including all shared services and both the financial and human resource information systems teams. In addition since joining the Company in 2009, Bunn has lead major cross-functional system implementations which automated and streamlined accounting processes to provide better reporting and to allow the company to become more financially efficient and effective.
Prior to joining Dominion Bunn was an independent consultant for small and large publicly-traded companies and held positions at Regent University as an assistant vice president for planning, Bay Shore Enterprises, and FamilyClick.com as CFO and vice president of finance, and International Family Entertainment(IFE) as vice president and controller. In those roles she was responsible for strategic long-term financial planning, business plan development, securing capital for investments, coordination of annual budgeting, mergers and acquisitions and financial reporting and analysis for the SEC (IFE), Board of Directors and senior management. She has a proven track record for building a strong team and streamlining and automation of processes. Bunn also served as controller for United States Media Corporation and as an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand.
Bunn received her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Old Dominion University and is a certified public accountant. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She resides in Virginia Beach with her husband and son.
Colleen Pittman
Executive Vice President and Treasurer
Colleen Pittman is Executive Vice President and Treasurer of Landmark Media Enterprises, LLC. Her areas of emphasis include tax compliance and planning, treasury, internal audit, and corporate development activities.
Colleen Pittman joined Landmark Communications, Inc., the predecessor of Landmark Media Enterprises, in 1987, as Assistant Controller of the Virginian-Pilot, the Norfolk newspaper. She moved to the corporate staff of Landmark in 1989, holding the positions of Corporate Accounting Manager, Corporate Controller, Corporate Tax Director and Vice President of Finance. Over the years, Colleen has utilized her experience and analytical skills to provide financial insights and support numerous business initiatives.
Colleen has been involved with many professional organizations including the AICPA, VSCPA, Tax Executive Institute and Financial Executives Institute. She participated in the Inaugural Class of Lead Virginia and served on their board of directors.
Colleen is a graduate of the College of William and Mary with a degree in Accounting and has been a Virginia CPA since 1978. She began her career with Ernst and Young and held various accounting positions with a variety of companies in the local area, Richmond and Washington, D.C.
Guy R. Friddell, III
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Guy “Rusty” Friddell is executive vice president and general counsel of Landmark Media Enterprises LLC, a position he has held since 1999. He also serves as executive vice president of Dominion Enterprises. His primary area of responsibility is corporate development.
His career has focused on complex transactions and problem-solving. He has structured, negotiated and implemented numerous deals – acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and more. Prior to assuming his current role, Friddell was a partner in the Norfolk, VA law firm of Willcox & Savage, P.C. where he headed the corporate department and practiced in the mergers and acquisitions area.
Friddell is currently on the board of trustees of Norfolk Academy and is chairman of the board of Sentara Norfolk General’s Hospital for Extended Recovery. He previously served as chairman of the Norfolk Board of Zoning Appeals, vice chairman of the Norfolk Convention and Visitors Bureau, a member of the board of visitors of the Eastern Virginia Medical School, and in various other civic capacities.
Friddell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from Princeton University magna cum laude, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
