Trawler Fest Announces New England Show Location in Warwick, RI

ANNAPOLIS, Md., April 18, 2010 - Trawler Fest, the cruising-under-power lifestyle celebration produced by PassageMaker Magazine, a division of Dominion Enterprises, has announced a new location for the New England show: Warwick, RI. Trawler Fest Warwick will take place July 15-17 at the Brewer Greenwich Bay Marina. Boat show hours are Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Boat Show: The premier niche cruising event will feature over 30 exhibitors showcasing a variety of essential boating products and services. Over 30 boats will be on display, allowing for attendees to board the vessels.

Educational Experience: A first class line-up of seminars will be available at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. daily. Seminar topics include: Troubleshooting Spare Parts and Tools for the Cruiser with Steve D’Antonio; Building Cruising Confidence As A Couple with Captains Chris and Alyse Caldwell; Women On The Water: Concerns, Challenges, and Rewards of Living Aboard with Kim Peterson; and Cruising Chesapeake Bay with Jack Dozier.

America’s Cup Hall of Fame member Ted Hood will lead Innovation In Yacht Design And Construction from 1960-2010. Ted is president of Ted Hood Yachts and has eight power yacht designs, including two Coastal Explorers and six Expedition series yachts, as well as two motor sailor designs on the market, all with ocean-going capabilities. Additionally, valuable hands-on activities will take place each afternoon and are included with the $15 general admission.

Rendezvous: Thursday and Friday evenings will include a cocktail reception and dinner with fun and exciting programs like Trivia Night and a Mardi Gras party. On Saturday evening, participants will enjoy a cocktail reception at Cap Sante Boat Haven followed by a presentation of PassageMaker’s People’s Choice Award – a key component to making Trawler Fest a unique event in the marine community.

Location: Warwick is home to 39 miles of coastline and offers spectacular views of Narragansett Bay. You can visit beautiful beaches and historic villages, or take advantage of a variety of things to do on or near the water. Additionally, Newport is less than 30 miles away, allowing Trawler Fest attendees the opportunity to visit another beautiful destination.
